Removal Procedure

  1. Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement (Sedan)Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement (Coupe)Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement (ATS-V) Remove
  2. Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LF4) Remove

  3. Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Retaining Clip at Radiator Remove - Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection 
    4. NOTE:

    Cover or plug all open transmission fluid cooler pipe connection points to help avoid any accidental contamination.

  4. Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe at Radiator Remove
  5. Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Non V-Series)Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (V-Series) Remove -Right Side
  6. Front Compartment Air Deflector Replacement (V Series) Remove
  7. Engine Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement Remove
  8. Front Cradle Shear Plate Replacement (V Series) Remove

  9. Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Retaining Clip at Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Remove - Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection 
  10. Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Retaining Clip at Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Remove - Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection 
    11. NOTE:

    Cover or plug all open transmission fluid cooler pipe connection points to help avoid any accidental contamination.

  11. Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe(Jumper) Remove

  12. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe clip bolt (1) from the drivetrain and front suspension cradle.

  13. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe clip bolt (1) from the engine oil pan.

  14. Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Retaining Clip at Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe (Mid Line Right) Remove - Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection 
    15. NOTE:

    Cover or plug all open transmission fluid cooler pipe connection points to help avoid any accidental contamination.

  15. Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe(Mid Line Right) at Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Remove
  16. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe clip (3) from the transmission mount.

  17. Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Retaining Clip at Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe (Mid Line Left) Remove - Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection 
    18. NOTE:

    Cover or plug all open transmission fluid cooler pipe connection points to help avoid any accidental contamination.

  18. Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe(Mid Line Left ) at Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Remove

  19. Remove the range selector lever cable heat shield bolt (1).
  20. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe bolt (2) from the transmission.
    21. NOTE:

    Cover or plug all open transmission fluid cooler pipe connection points to help avoid any accidental contamination.

  21. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe (3) from the transmission.
  22. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe clip (4) from the range selector lever cable bracket.

  23. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe fitting seal (1).

    DISCARD the seal.

  24. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe (1) from the vehicle.
  25. Transfer components as necessary.
