Removal Procedure

  1. Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement (Sedan)Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement (Coupe)Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement (ATS-V) Remove
  2. Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LCV) Remove

  3. Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Retaining Clip at Air Conditioning Condenser Remove - Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection 
    4. NOTE:

    Cover or plug all open transmission fluid cooler pipe connection points to help avoid any accidental contamination.

  4. Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe at Air Conditioning Condenser Remove
  5. Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Non V-Series)Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (V-Series) Remove -Left Side
  6. Front Air Deflector Replacement Remove
  7. Engine Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement Remove

  8. Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Retaining Clip at Radiator Remove - Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection 
    9. NOTE:

    Cover or plug all open transmission fluid cooler pipe connection points to help avoid any accidental contamination.

  9. Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe at Radiator Remove

  10. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe clip bolts (1) from the engine oil pan.

  11. Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector (1) and set aside the oxygen sensor harness.
  12. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe bolt (2) from the transmission.
    13. NOTE:

    Cover or plug all open transmission fluid cooler pipe connection points to help avoid any accidental contamination.

  13. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe (3) from the transmission.

  14. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe fitting seal (1).

    DISCARD the seal.

  15. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe (1) from the vehicle.
  16. Transfer components as necessary.
