Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) .
  2. Remove the right side catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (LGX) .

  3. Disengage tension on the heater inlet hose clamp (1) at the heater inlet pipe using BO-38185  Hose Clamp Pliers.
  4. Remove the heater inlet hose (2) and clamp (1) from the heater inlet pipe.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LGX) .
  7. Remove the right front end sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement - Right Side (ATS-V)Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement - Right Side .

  8. Disengage tension on the heater inlet hose clamp (1) at the heater inlet hose connector using BO-38185  Hose Clamp Pliers.
  9. Remove the heater inlet hose (2) and clamp (1) from the heater inlet hose connector.
  10. Remove the heater inlet hose (1) from the retainer.

  11. Remove the heater inlet hose (1) from the vehicle.
