Installation Procedure

  1. Install the air conditioning condenser (2) to the radiator.
    2. CAUTION:

    Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the air conditioning condenser bolts (1) to the radiator and tighten.

  3. Install NEW sealing washer (3) to the air conditioning condenser outlet tube (5). Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement .
  4. Install the radiator air lower baffle and deflector side retainers to the radiator and charge air cooler. Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement (LGX)Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement (LTG)Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement (LF4) .
  5. Install the upper air baffle and deflector retainers. Radiator Air Upper Baffle and Deflector Replacement (LGX)Radiator Air Upper Baffle and Deflector Replacement (LTG)Radiator Air Upper Baffle and Deflector Replacement (LF4) .
  6. Install the hood latch. Hood Primary and Secondary Latch ReplacementHood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement (ATS-V) .
  7. Install the air conditioning condenser outlet tube to radiator mounting bolt (2).
  8. Install the drivetrain and front suspension frame. Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Removal and Installation (V-Series)Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Removal and Installation (Non V-Series) .
  9. Install the air conditioning condenser outlet tube (5) to the condenser.
  10. Install the air conditioning condenser outlet tube nut (3) to the condenser and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  11. Install NEW sealing washer (3) to the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose (2). Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement .
  12. Install the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose (2) to the air conditioning condenser.
  13. Install the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) to the air conditioning condenser and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
  14. Lower the vehicle.

  15. Connect the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe (2) to the air conditioning condenser, if equipped with an auxiliary transmission cooler. Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .

  16. Connect the transmission fluid cooler pipe (2) to the air conditioning condenser, if equipped with an auxiliary transmission cooler. Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
  17. Install the front bumper fascia center support and the forward range radar module if equipped. Forward Range Radar Module Replacement , or Front Bumper Fascia Center Support Replacement .
  18. Install the front bumper fascia upper support. Front Bumper Fascia Upper Support Replacement .
  19. Install the front bumper impact bar. Front Bumper Impact Bar Replacement .

  20. Install the radiator upper brackets (2). Radiator Upper Bracket Replacement (LTG, LGX) .
  21. Install the air cleaner assembly. Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LTG)Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LCV) .
  22. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LCV)Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LTG) .
  23. Evacuate and charge the air conditioning system. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  24. Inspect the transmission fluid level. Transmission Fluid Fill Procedure .
  25. Inspect for transmission fluid leaks. Automatic Transmission Fluid Leaks .
