Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LCV)

Preliminary Procedures Recover the air conditioning system refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging . Remove the air cleaner assembly. Remove the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose assembly from the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Replacement (LCV) . Remove the drive belt from the air conditioning compressor. Disconnect the air conditioning compressor electrical connector and unclip the harness from the compressor. Remove the left front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Non V-Series)Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (V-Series) .
1	Air Conditioning Compressor Nut CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
2	Air Conditioning Compressor Stud Tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
3	Air Conditioning Compressor Bolt (Qty: 2) Tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
4	Air Conditioning Compressor Procedure Remove and discard sealing washers and replace with NEW. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement . When replacing the air conditioning compressor, balance the compressor oil. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Oil Balancing .
