Installation Procedure

  1. Position the turbocharger wastegate actuator (2) in place then hand start the fasteners (1).
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Tighten the wastegate actuator fasteners (1) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

    NOTE:

    Ensure that the actuator arm retainer is installed as previously noted.

  3. Install the turbocharger wastegate actuator arm (2) then install its retainer (1) to secure the actuator arm.
  4. Connect the charge air bypass valve vacuum tube to the turbocharger wastegate actuator. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  5. Install the turbocharger heat shield fasteners. Refer to Turbocharger Heat Shield Replacement (LF4 Bank 1)Turbocharger Heat Shield Replacement (LF4 Bank 2) .
  6. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LF4) .
  7. Install the charge air bypass valve. Refer to Charge Air Bypass Valve Replacement - Left Side .
