Removal Procedure

- Plenum Front Panel Replacement -Remove
- Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Replacement (LGX) -Remove and DISCARD
- Electrical Connector -Disconnect
- Fuel Feed Pipe @ Fuel Pump -Disconnect - Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Fuel Pump Bolt -Remove and DISCARD
- Fuel Pump -Remove
- Gasket -Remove and DISCARD
- Fuel Pump O-Ring -Remove and DISCARD
- Valve Lifter Follower -Remove
NOTE:Take note of the orientation of the valve lifter follower (5).
CAUTION:
Alternately loosen the fuel pump bolts one turn at a time until the pump is fully disengaged from fuel pump lifter follower. Trying to remove the pump bolts without even side-to-side loosening may result in pump plunger damage
