Removal Procedure

    WARNING:

    Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .

  1. Use compressed air to remove debris from the CMP sensor and surrounding cavities.
  2. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.
  3. Remove the CMP sensor to engine front cover retaining bolt (1).
  4. Remove the CMP sensor (2) from the engine front cover.
