Removal Procedure

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Base)Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (V-Series) .
Remove the tires and wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Non V-Series)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (V-Series October 4th 2015 and Earlier)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (V-Series October 5th 2015 and Later) .
Remove the rear suspension cradle. Refer to Rear Suspension Cradle Replacement .
With the aide of an assistant, position the rear suspension cradle on a suitable work bench.

NOTE:

Note the position of the rear suspension rear mount cut-out side and the rear suspension front mount flat side before removal.

Using the appropriate tool, cut two slots on either side of the rear suspension support mount.
Collapse the support mount and remove it from the rear suspension cradle.
