Fuel Pump Removal

NOTE:
This is a camshaft cover bolt. |

NOTE:
Remove and DISCARD the pipe. |
| 4 | Fuel Pump Bolt
CAUTION:
Alternately loosen the fuel pump bolts one turn at a time until the pump is fully disengaged from fuel pump lifter follower. Trying to remove the pump bolts without even side-to-side loosening may result in pump plunger damage
NOTE:
Remove and DISCARD the bolt. |

NOTE:
If a high pressure pump is replaced on an engine which originally had a pump WITH a gasket, it must be rebuilt WITH a pump kit that includes the gasket; if a high pressure pump is replaced on an engine which originally had a pump WITHOUT a gasket, it must be rebuilt WITHOUT a gasket. |
