Installation Procedure

- Assemble the cylinder head as necessary. Cylinder Head Assemble
- Ensure the cylinder head locating pins (5) are securely mounted in the cylinder block deck face.
- Install a NEW left cylinder head gasket (4) using the deck face locating pins for retention.
- Install Cylinder Head Assembly (3) - Cylinder Head Installation - Left Side
- Install Camshaft Carrier- Left Side (2) - Camshaft Carrier Removal - Right Side
- Install Camshaft-Left Side - Camshaft Replacement - Left Side
- Position wire harness and connect as necessary.
- Install ground wire and ground wire bolt at the rear of the cylinder head. Tighten bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
- Install Oil Level Indicator Tube (1) - Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement
- Install Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter (2) @Bank 2 - Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement (Bank 1, LGX)Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement (Bank 2, LGX)
- Install Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe - Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Replacement
- Install Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Noise Shield (1) - Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Noise Shield Replacement
- Install Camshaft Timing Chain- Left Side - Camshaft Timing Chain Assembly Replacement - Left Side
