Removal Procedure

  1. Set the park brake.
  2. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
    3. Fig 1: Transmission Range Selector Lever Cable Terminal And Cable Retainer

  3. Disconnect the transmission range selector lever cable terminal (2) from the shift lever pin.
  4. Release the transmission range selector lever cable retainer (1) and remove the transmission range selector cable.
  5. Disconnect the transmission control electrical connector.

  6. Remove the nut and washer (1) from the control assembly.

  7. Remove the main shaft bolt (1).

  8. Pull the transmission control assembly (1) rearward and upward to unseat it from the transmission control base.
  9. Remove the transmission control assembly from the vehicle.
