Removal Procedure

- Drain the transmission fluid from the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill
- Disconnect and reposition the transmission fluid cooler inlet pipe (1) from the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement (M7U, M7W without V08)Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement (M7U, M7W with V08)
- Disconnect and reposition the transmission fluid cooler outlet pipe (2) from the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement (M7U, M7W without V08)Transmission Fluid Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement (M7U, M7W with V08)
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the transmission control valve body cover.
- Unclip the transmission wiring harness from the transmission control valve body cover and position out of the way.
- Remove the control valve body cover from the transmission. Refer to Control Valve Body Assembly Removal
