Installation Procedure

    NOTE:
    • ALWAYS install the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve seal supplied with the NEW valve.
    • If reinstalling the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve, inspect the valve seal and replace as necessary.
  1. Install Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Seal (3)

    Install a NEW seal.

  2. Inspect the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve O-ring (2) and replace as necessary.
  3. Install Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve (1)

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install and tighten Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Bolt (2) to 10 N.m (89 lb in)
  5. Connect Electrical Connector (1)
  6. Install Intake Manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement
