Installation Procedure

  1. Clean the contact surfaces between the transmission and the transfer case adapter.
    2. Fig 1: Transmission Adapter O-Ring

  2. Install a NEW the transfer case to adapter O-ring (1).

  3. Install the transmission adapter (2).
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the transmission adapter bolts (1) and tighten to 100 N.m (74 lb ft).
  5. Install the power transfer unit. Refer to Power Transfer Unit Case Replacement
