Installation Procedure

  1. Install Auxiliary Heater and Air Conditioning Wiring Harness (1)
    2. Fig 2: Electrical Connectors

  2. Connect the electrical connectors (1) (Qty: 3).
  3. Fasten the auxiliary heater and air conditioning wiring harness onto the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator and blower module indicated by the arrows.

  4. Connect the electrical connectors (1) (Qty: 3).
  5. Fasten the auxiliary heater and air conditioning wiring harness onto the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator and blower module indicated by the arrows.

  6. Install Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module (1)

  7. Install and tighten Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Bolt (1) to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
  8. Connect the auxiliary heater and air conditioning wiring harness connector and ground terminal (3).
  9. Install and tighten Ground Nut (2) to 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  10. Install Auxiliary Air Conditioning Air Lower Duct (2). Refer to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Air Lower Duct Replacement (C69) 
  11. Install Auxiliary Heater Air Outlet Duct (1). Refer to Auxiliary Heater Air Outlet Duct Replacement 
  12. Install the duct temperature sensors into the ducts.

  14. Install and tighten Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Nuts (1) (Qty: 2) to 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  15. Install Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube (3) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module. Refer to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube Replacement 
  16. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Without KL9)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With KL9)
  17. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static)
  18. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf) 
  19. Clear the DTCs from the heater and air conditioning remote control module.
  20. Perform the actuator calibration procedure. Refer to Actuator Recalibration
  21. Inspect for coolant leaks.
  22. Inspect for refrigerant leaks.
