Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Refer to SAE J2913 Certified Electronic Leak Detectors Warning .

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf) 
  2. Remove Air Cleaner Outlet Duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement
    3. Fig 1: Engine Mount Brace And Bolts

  3. Remove Engine Mount Brace (2). Refer to Engine Mount Brace Replacement

  4. Remove Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose (2) @ Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Replacement (LCV)

  5. Remove Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger Nut (2) @ Air Conditioning Condenser
  6. Remove Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) @ Air Conditioning Condenser
  7. Remove and DISCARD the sealing washer (3). Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement

  11. Remove Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger Nut (3) @ Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve
  12. Remove Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) @ Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve
  13. Remove and DISCARD the sealing washers (2) (Qty: 2)

  14. Remove Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger Nuts (2) (Qty: 2) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube
  15. Remove Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube
  16. Remove and DISCARD the sealing washers (3) (Qty: 2)

  17. Remove Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) @ Front Compartment Side Rail
  18. Remove the air conditioning refrigerant heat exchanger from the vehicle.
