Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement 
  2. Remove Engine Front Cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Replacement 
  3. Remove Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle. Refer to Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Replacement (FWD)
  4. Remove Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Heat Shield. Refer to Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Heat Shield Replacement
  5. Remove Exhaust Front Pipe. Refer to Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (LCV)
    6. Fig 1: Catalytic Converter Brace And Bolts

  6. Remove Catalytic Converter Brace Bolts (1) (Qty: 2)
  7. Remove Catalytic Converter Brace (2)

  8. Remove Air Conditioning Compressor Bolt (1)

  9. Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
  10. Remove Retainer (2).
  11. Remove Transmission Bolt (3)

  12. Remove Oil Pan Bolt (1)

    NOTE:

    Mark the position of the oil pan bolts because of different length.

  13. Remove Oil Pan Bolts (1, 2, 3)
  14. Clean and inspect Oil Pan. Refer to Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection »
  15. Transfer components as necessary.
