Installation Procedure

- Install the transmission to the engine. Refer to Transmission Replacement (Front Wheel Drive)
- Position the powertrain and support table under the vehicle.
- Raise the powertrain into position under the vehicle.
- With the table positioned, if required, lower the vehicle over the powertrain.
- Install the drivetrain and front suspension cradle to the vehicle. Refer to Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Removal and Installation (FWD)
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install Left Transmission Mount Bolt (3) (Qty: 3). Refer to Transmission Mount Replacement - Left Side
- Install Engine Mount Bolts (1) (Qty: 2). Refer to Engine Mount Replacement
- Connect Transmission Range Selector Lever Cable (3). Refer to Automatic Transmission Range Selector Lever Replacement
- Connect Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose @ Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Replacement (LCV From Radiator Surge Tank to Radiator and Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Pipe)
- Install Left Front Wheel Drive Shaft. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Left Side
- Install Right Front Wheel Drive Shaft. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Right Side (FWD)
- Install Exhaust Front Pipe. Refer to Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (LCV)
- Connect the intermediate shaft (2) then install the intermediate shaft pinch bolt (1). Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement
- Connect Front Stabilizer Shaft Link (2) @ Front Stabilizer Shaft. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement
- Connect the outer tie rod to the steering knuckle (3). Refer to Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod Replacement
- Connect Transmission Fluid Cooler Outlet Pipe (1) @ Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Outlet Pipe (2). Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection
- Connect Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet Pipe (1) @ Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Inlet Pipe (2). Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection
- Install Heater Inlet Hose (3). Refer to Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (LCV with Rear Aux HVAC Heater Inlet and Outlet Pipe to Quick Connect)Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (LCV with Rear Aux HVAC Quick Connect Connector to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube)Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (LCV without Rear Aux HVAC Heater Inlet and Outlet Pipe to Quick Connect) .
- Install Heater Outlet Hose (2). Refer to Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LCV Quick Connect Connector to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube)Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LCV Water Outlet to Heater Coolant Pump)Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LCV without Rear Aux HVAC Heater Outlet Hose Connector to Heater Core Connector)
- Install Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose (4) @ Air Conditioning Compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Replacement (LCV)
- Install Radiator Inlet Hose (2). Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LCV)
- Install Radiator Outlet Hose (2). Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LCV)
- Install Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Hose (1). Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Hose Replacement
- Install Air Cleaner Assembly (1). Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
- Install Power Brake Booster Vacuum Hose (1). Refer to Power Brake Booster Vacuum Hose Replacement (LCV)
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Without KL9)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With KL9)
- Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static)
- Install Fuel Feed Front Pipe (1). Refer to Fuel Feed Front Pipe Replacement
- Install Battery Tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement
- Recharge the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf)
- If the engine is replaced with a new engine or has been overhauled, perform the engine prelubing procedure. Refer to Engine Prelubing
- If prelubing has not been performed, fill the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
