Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 GMC Acadia. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:

For ease of installation, all engine mount bolts should be hand started prior to performing final tightening steps.

  1. Install Engine Mount (2)
  2. Install and tighten Engine Mount Bolts (1) (Qty: 2) to 100 N.m (74 lb ft)

  3. Hand start NEW engine mount to engine mount bracket bolts (1).
  4. With the mount fasteners hand tightened, release the tension from the engine support fixture.
    1. Shake the powertrain vigorously by hand to allow the powertrain to settle.
  5. Tighten Engine Mount Bolts (1) to 58 N.m (43 lb ft)

  6. Install Engine Mount Brace (2)
  7. Install and tighten Engine Mount Brace Bolts (1) (Qty: 2) to 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
  8. Remove Engine Support Fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture 
  9. Install Air Cleaner Assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
  10. Install Intake Manifold Cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
