Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static) 
    3. Fig 1: Engine Oil Cooler Inlet Pipe, Bolt, Radiator Outlet Hose And Clamps

  3. Remove Engine Oil Cooler Inlet Pipe Bolt (1)
  4. Disengage Hose Clamps (2) (Qty: 2). Refer to Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 
  5. Disconnect Radiator Outlet Hose (3) @ Engine Oil Cooler
  6. Disconnect Engine Oil Cooler Inlet Pipe (4) @ Engine Oil Cooler

  7. Remove Engine Oil Cooler Bolts (1) (Qty: 4)
  8. Remove Engine Oil Cooler (2)
  9. Remove and DISCARD Engine Oil Cooler Seal (3) (Qty: 2)
