Component Testing

Static Test

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate Q83 Valve Lifter Oil Solenoid Valve.
  2. Test for 11-30 Ω between cylinder deactivation oil solenoid valve terminals.
    • If not between 11-30 Ω for each solenoid valve 

      Replace the Q83 Valve Lifter Oil Solenoid Valve.

    • If between 11-30 Ω for each solenoid valve 
  3. Test for infinite resistance between each valve lifter oil solenoid circuit terminal and the solenoid housing.
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the Q83 Valve Lifter Oil Solenoid Valve.

    • If infinite resistance 
  4. All OK.
