Circuit/System Verification

    NOTE:

    The engine oil level and the oil pressure are critical to the correct operation of the system.

  1. Verify no other DTCs are set.
    • If no other DTCs are set 
  2. Verify the condition does not exist:Engine Oil - Fill Level=Low
    • If a condition exists 

      Repair or replace as necessary.

    • If no condition exists 
  3. Verify the engine oil pressure: Refer to:Oil Pressure Diagnosis and Testing
    • If not in the specified range 

      Repair or replace as necessary.

    • If in the specified range 
  4. Engine » Idling - At normal operating temperature - Verify there is no abnormal noise from the component:
    • If no abnormal noise is present 
  5. Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
