Circuit/System Description

The parking brake function is integrated into the Electronic Brake Control Module. The Electronic Brake Control Module contains the logic for applying and releasing the parking brake when commanded by the Park Brake Control Switch. The Electronic Brake Control Module will perform diagnostics on the Park Brake Control Switch and its wiring harness to verify it is functioning properly.

After replacement of the electronic brake control module, the programming procedure must be performed. Park brake calibration is done during the programming procedure.
