Installation Procedure

  1. Position the steering gear (3) on the drivetrain and front suspension cradle.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install Steering Gear Bolt (2) and tighten

    Tighten

    1. First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass: (45-60 degrees)
  3. Steering Gear Bolt (1) and tighten 100 N.m (74 lb ft)

  4. Install Front Stabilizer Shaft (1)Stabilizer Shaft Replacement

  6. Connect the steering gear electrical connectors (1).
  7. Install the steering gear wiring harness clip (2) in the mounting point on the steering gear.
  8. Program the power steering control module. Control Module References
  9. Measure and adjust the wheel alignment. Wheel Alignment Measurement
