Component Testing

Sunroof Switch

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the S48 Multifunction Switch-Overhead Console.
  2. Test for infinite resistance between the control circuit terminal 9 and the low reference terminal 20.
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the S48 Multifunction Switch-Overhead Console.

    • If infinite resistance 
  3. Test for less than 5 Ω between the control terminals listed below and the low reference terminal 20 with the switch in the appropriate position.
    • S48 Multifunction Switch-Overhead Console terminal 9, sunroof switch CLOSE position
    • S48 Multifunction Switch-Overhead Console terminal 9, sunroof switch OPEN position
    • If not less than 5 Ω 

      Replace the S48 Multifunction Switch-Overhead Console.

    • If less than 5 Ω 
  4. All OK.
