Component Testing

S45B Liftgate Control Switch - Interior-Static Test

Ignition/Vehicle Off
Disconnect the electrical connector: S45B Liftgate Control Switch - Interior
Test for infinite resistance between the test points: Signal terminal 4 & Ground terminal 1 - Not Pressed
- If less than infinite resistance
  Replace the component: S45B Liftgate Control Switch - Interior
- If infinite resistance
Test for less than 3 Ω between the test points: Signal terminal 4 & Ground terminal 1 - Pressed
- If 3 Ω or greater
  Replace the component: S45B Liftgate Control Switch - Interior
- If less than 3 Ω
Test for 600 to 700 Ω between the test points: Signal terminal 3 & Ground terminal 1 Switch S45B in position: Off
- If not between 600 and 700 Ω
  Replace the component: S45B Liftgate Control Switch - Interior
- If between 600 and 700 Ω
Test for 1300 to 1400 Ω between the test points: Signal terminal 3 & Ground terminal 1 Switch S45B in position: 3/4
- If not between 1300 and 1400 Ω
  Replace the component: S45B Liftgate Control Switch - Interior
- If between 1300 and 1400 Ω
Test for 4000 to 5000 Ω between the test points: Signal terminal 3 & Ground terminal 1 Switch S45B in position: Maximum
- If not between 4000 and 5000 Ω
  Replace the component: S45B Liftgate Control Switch - Interior
- If between 4000 and 5000 Ω
All OK.
