Component Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the S46B Liftgate Unlatch Switch.
  2. Test for infinite resistance between the signal terminal and the low reference terminal listed below with the switch in the open position.
    • Signal terminal 1 and low reference terminal 2 (TC2)
    • Signal terminal 2 and low reference terminal 1 (TB5)
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the S46B Liftgate Unlatch Switch.

    • If infinite resistance 
  3. Test for less than 3 Ω between the signal terminal and the low reference terminal listed below with the switch in the closed position.
    • Signal terminal 1 and low reference terminal 2 (TC2)
    • Signal terminal 2 and low reference terminal 1 (TB5)
    • If 3 Ω or greater 

      Replace the S46B Liftgate Unlatch Switch.

    • If less than 3 Ω 
  4. All OK
