Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Without KL9) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With KL9)

  2. Disengage Battery Distribution Fuse Block Retaining Tab (1)
  3. Open the battery fuse block cover.(2)

  4. Loosen Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (4)
  5. Disengage Battery Distribution Fuse Block Retaining Tab (1)
  6. Reposition Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block (5)

  7. Disengage Retainer (3)
  8. Remove Battery Hold Down Retainer Nut (1)
  9. Remove the engine control module bracket. Engine Control Module Bracket Replacement
  10. Remove Battery Hold Down Retainer Bolt (2)
  11. Remove Battery Hold Down Retainer (4)

  12. Remove Battery Hold Down Bolt (1)
  13. Remove Battery Hold Down Retainer (2)
  14. Remove Battery (3)
