Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Without KL9) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With KL9)

  2. Disengage Battery Distribution Fuse Block Retaining Tab
  3. Open the battery fuse block cover.

  4. Loosen Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut
  5. Disengage Battery Distribution Fuse Block Retaining Tab
  6. Reposition away Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block

  7. Remove Battery Hold Down Retainer Nut
  8. Remove the engine control module bracket. Engine Control Module Bracket Replacement
  9. Remove Battery Hold Down Retainer Bolt
  10. Remove Battery Hold Down Retainer
