Circuit/System Verification
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 GMC Acadia. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Use schematics to determine which devices are powered up on the T19 Power Supply Transformer B+ supply circuit terminal 10 X1.
- Ignition OFF, measure and record the battery voltage at the battery terminals.
- Verify the battery voltage stabilizes between 12.4 and 12.8 V within a few minutes of turning the ignition OFF.
- If battery voltage is less than 12.4 V or more than 12.8 V
Refer to Battery Inspection/Test .
- If battery voltage is between 12.4 and 12.8 V
- If battery voltage is less than 12.4 V or more than 12.8 V
- Verify ECM ground is clean and tight.
- Engine running, headlights ON, measure and record the battery voltage at the battery terminals.
- Verify the voltage is at least 1 V greater than the voltage measured in step 1, but less than 15 V.
- If the voltage is not at least 1 V greater than the voltage measured in step 1 or is greater than 15 V.
Refer to Charging System Test .
- If the voltage is at least 1 V greater than the voltage measured in step 1, but less than 15 V.
- If the voltage is not at least 1 V greater than the voltage measured in step 1 or is greater than 15 V.
- Ignition ON.
- Verify that the appropriate devices controlled by the T19 Power Supply Transformer control circuit terminal 10 X1 turn ON when cycling the ignition ON.
- If the devices do not turn ON
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If the devices turn ON
- If the devices do not turn ON
- Verify DTC P3052, P3054 or P3056 does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
