Removal Procedure

- Use a flat-bladed plastic trim tool to release the rear side door inside handle bolt finish cap.(1)
- RemoveRear Side Door Inside Handle Fastener(2)
- Use a flat-bladed plastic trim tool to release the rear side door armrest pull cup bolt cap.(1)
- Remove Rear Side Door Armrest Pull Cup Bolt (2)
- Remove Rear Side Door Trim Belt Line Clip (1)
- Remove Rear Side Door Trim Retainer (2)
- Remove Rear Side Door Trim (1)
- When the rear side door trim (1) is sufficiently loosened, place inner hand behind panel and pull towards you to disengage integral retainers and clips.
- While lifting out at the bottom, tilt the inner corner of rear side door trim (1) down, and with a short hard tap disengage clip from trim, leaving clip in metal.
- Using appropriate tool, remove clip from sheet metal.
- Disconnect the door lock retainer cable from the rear side door trim (1) and the inside handle.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Place the rear side door trim (1)on a clean flat surface.
NOTE:
The high-retention retainers will be destroyed during removal. It will require more than 67 pound feet of force to remove the fasteners, breaking them in the process.
