Removal Procedure

- Use a flat-bladed plastic trim tool to release the front side door inside handle bolt finish cap (1)
- Remove Front Side Door Inside Handle Fastener (2)
- Use a flat-bladed plastic trim tool to release the front side door armrest pull cup bolt cap (1)
- Remove Front Side Door Armrest Pull Cup Bolt (2)
- Remove Front Side Door Trim Belt Line Clip (1)
- Remove Front Side Door Trim High-Retention Retainer (2)
- Remove Front Side Door Trim (1)
- When the front side door trim (1) is sufficiently loosened, place inner hand behind front side door trim and pull towards you to disengage integral retainers and clips.
- While lifting out at the bottom, tilt the inner corner of front side door trim (1) down, and with a short hard tap disengage clip from trim, leaving clip in metal.
- Using appropriate tool, remove clip from sheet metal.
- Disconnect the door lock retainer cable from the front side door trim (1) and the inside handle.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Place the front side door trim (1) on a clean flat surface.
NOTE:
The two high retention retainers at the upper rear edge of the door trim will be destroyed during removal. It will require more than 67 pound feet of force to remove the fasteners, breaking them in the process
