Diagnostic Aids

The interior and exterior rear compartment lid release switches may have been disabled by the body control module for the following safety or security reasons:
- The doors are locked
- Automatic transmission - The transmission selector is not in P (park)
- Manual transmission - The gear shift selector is not in neutral
Verify the doors have been commanded UNLOCK, the transmission selector is in P (park) or the gear shift selector is in neutral before performing extensive diagnostics
