The driver door latch and front passenger door latch control the door lock status indicators for the door lock indicators located within the driver and passenger door lock switches, The body control module provides voltage to the indicators and the door latches contain lock status switches that are open when the doors are not locked and closed when the doors are locked. When the door latches are locked, the lock status switches will be closed which will provide a ground path for the door lock status indicators which will illuminate indicating the doors are locked
