Circuit/System Description

The charge air cooler coolant pump relay is a normally open relay located in the underhood fuse block. Battery voltage is supplied directly to the relay coil and switch. The engine control module (ECM) controls the relay by grounding the control circuit with a solid state device called a driver. The ECM monitors the control circuits for open, short to ground, or short to voltage conditions.
