Diagnostic Aids

- With RPO LF3 or LF4, the 8-pin Multifunction Intake Air sensor is in the intake air duct nearest to the front of the vehicle; for rear wheel drive vehicles it is on the driver's side.
- Any condition that can cause the MAF, MAP, turbocharger boost, and TP sensors to be shifted in value.
- Any type of contamination on the either of the two MAF sensor heating elements will degrade the proper operation of the sensor(s). Certain types of contaminants act as a heat insulator, which will impair the response of the sensor to air flow changes. Water or snow can create the opposite effect, and cause the signal to increase rapidly.
- Certain aftermarket air filters may cause this DTC to set.
- Certain aftermarket air induction systems may cause this DTC to set.
- Modifications to the air induction system may cause this DTC to set.
