Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 Cadillac ATS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

DTC B3603 or B360C

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the S115D Easy Entry Switch - Driver Seat, ignition ON.
  2. Verify the scan tool Driver Seat Easy Entry Switch parameter is Inactive.
    • If not Inactive
    1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X6 harness connector at the K40D Seat Memory Control Module - Driver, ignition ON.
    2. Test for less than 1 V between each signal circuit terminal listed below and ground.
      • Horizontal forward terminal B
      • Horizontal rearward terminal C
      • If 1 V or greater, repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
      • If less than 1 V, replace the K40D Seat Memory Control Module - Driver.
    • If Inactive
  3. Install a 3 A fused jumper wire between the B+ circuit terminal A and each signal circuit terminal listed below, one at a time.
    • Horizontal forward terminal B
    • Horizontal rearward terminal C
  4. Verify the scan tool Driver Seat Horizontal Switch parameter changes between Inactive and Forward/Rearward.
    • If the parameter does not change during either test
    1. Ignition OFF, remove the jumper wire, disconnect the X6 harness connector at the K40D Seat Memory Control Module - Driver.
    2. Test for infinite resistance between the signal circuit and ground.
      • If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
      • If infinite resistance
    3. Test for less than 2 Ω in the signal circuit end to end.
      • If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high in the circuit.
      • If less than 2 Ω, replace the K40D Seat Memory Control Module - Driver.
    • If the parameter changes during each test
  5. Test or Replace the S115D Easy Entry Switch - Driver Seat.

DTC B360D or B360E

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the S115P Easy Entry Switch - Passenger Seat, ignition ON.
  2. Verify the scan tool Passenger Seat Easy Entry Switch parameter is Inactive.
    • If not Inactive
    1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X6 harness connector at the K40 Seat Memory Control Module, ignition ON.
    2. Test for less than 1 V between each signal circuit terminal listed below and ground.
      • Horizontal forward terminal B
      • Horizontal rearward terminal C
      • If 1 V or greater, repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
      • If less than 1 V, replace the K40 Seat Memory Control Module.
    • If Inactive
  3. Install a 3 A fused jumper wire between the B+ circuit terminal A and each signal circuit terminal listed below, one at a time.
    • Horizontal forward terminal B
    • Horizontal rearward terminal C
  4. Verify the scan tool Passenger Seat Horizontal Switch parameter changes between Inactive and Forward/Rearward.
    • If the parameter does not change during either test
    1. Ignition OFF, remove the jumper wire, disconnect the X6 harness connector at the K40 Seat Memory Control Module.
      • If less than 2 Ω, replace the K40 Seat Memory Control Module.
    • If the parameter changes during each test
  5. Test or Replace the S115P Easy Entry Switch - Passenger Seat.
