Outside Rearview Mirror Glass Retainers (Qty: 8)
WARNING:
Approved safety glasses and gloves should be worn when performing this procedure to reduce the chance of personal injury.
Procedure
- Place masking tape over the mirror glass.
- Carefully push the outside rearview mirror glass upward and into the right corner of the mirror housing, allowing access to the bottom edge.
- Insert a suitable tool, between the lower housing and the mirror glass turn it clockwise releasing the mirror retainers from the mirror inner actuator motor.
- Grasp the bottom edge of the mirror glass firmly, lift it up and pull rearward until the mirror glass retainers release the actuator motor ring.
- Disconnect the outside mirror glass electrical connectors.

Outside Rearview Mirror Glass Procedure
- Place the mirror glass in line with the lower inner actuator retainers.
- Place one hand on the back of the mirror housing, using the flat palm of the other hand press inward locking the mirror glass retainers to the inner actuator ring.
- Remove the masking tape from the mirror glass.
NOTE:
Inspect the outside rearview mirror for proper operation.
