Installation Procedure

- Lubricate the drive pinion flange sealing surface of the drive pinion seal (1) with synthetic gear oil. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .
- Using the DT-36366-A Seal Installer (2) and EN-49417 Installer (3), install the new pinion seal in the pinion housing.
- Install the front differential flange. Refer to Front Differential Carrier Flange Replacement .
- Inspect the fluid level. Refer to Front Axle Lubricant Level Inspection .
- Lower the vehicle.
