Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (ATS)Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (ATS-V) .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Non V-Series)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (V-Series) .
    3. Fig 1: Brake Pipe Fitting At Brake Hose

  3. Disconnect the brake pipe fitting (1) from the brake hose.
  4. Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

  5. Remove the brake hose retaining clip (1).

    NOTE:

    Do not reuse the brake hose fitting gaskets.

  6. Remove and discard the brake hose fitting gaskets (1) by removing the brake hose fitting bolt (2) from the brake hose fitting (3).
  7. Remove the brake hose from the vehicle.
