Installation Procedure

- If installing a new master cylinder, bench bleed the master cylinder. Refer to Master Cylinder Bench Bleeding .
- Install the master cylinder.
- Install new master cylinder nuts (1) and tighten to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).
- Connect the brake pressure modulator valve primary brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
- Connect the brake pressure modulator valve secondary brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
- If equipped, connect the clutch master cylinder feed hose.
- Connect the brake fluid level indicator switch electrical connector.
- Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .

Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:
Install new master cylinder nuts.
