Removal Procedure

Remove the instrument panel tie bar (1). Refer to Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement .

Remove the brake pedal position sensor (1). Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement .

Pull the brake pedal (1) rearward to release the power vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer.

NOTE:

Do not reuse the power vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer.

Remove and discard the power vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer (1).

NOTE:

Do not disconnect the clutch master cylinder hydraulic hose or pipe from the clutch master cylinder.

Disconnect the clutch master cylinder pushrod retainer (1), remove the nuts and position aside the clutch master cylinder (2). Refer to Clutch Pedal Replacement .

Remove the power vacuum brake booster nuts (1).

Remove the brake pedal assembly.
