Installation Procedure

- If replacing with a NEW lock cylinder, the new lock cylinder must be coded. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Cylinder Coding (Non Free Wheeling)Front Side Door Lock Cylinder Coding .
- Install the lock cylinder retainer (1) to the front side door outside handle bracket assembly (3).
- Install the door lock cylinder (2) in the front side door outside handle bracket, push forward locking the lock cylinder (2) into the lock cylinder retainer.
- Connect the door lock cylinder rod (1) to the lock cylinder.
- Install the front side door latch and handle bracket assembly as one in the vehicle. Refer to Front Side Door Latch Replacement (Sedan) Front Side Door Latch Replacement (Coupe) .
- Ensure that the door lock system operates properly before installing the trim.
NOTE:
Ensure that the door lock cylinder is engage all the way into the side door handle locator tabs. Insert the key into the door lock cylinder, turn left to right checking for binding before install the assembly to the vehicle.
