Removal Procedure

- Remove the front side door latch and door outside handle bracket assembly as one from the door. Refer to Front Side Door Latch Replacement (Coupe) .
- From the back side of the outside handle bracket, use a suitable tool, push the lock cylinder retainer tabs (1) away from the cylinder (2) releasing the cylinder from the retainer and bracket.
- Disconnect the front side door lock cylinder rod (1) from the lock cylinder.
- Inspect the lock cylinder retainer for damage and replace if necessary.
NOTE:
When performing this procedure the latch and handle bracket assembly Must be removed from the vehicle to replace the door lock cylinder assembly.
NOTE:
Its not necessary to disconnect the inside or outside handle cables to replace the door lock cylinder.
