Installation Procedure

  1. Fill the transfer case as necessary. Refer to Transfer Case Fluid Replacement .
  2. Apply sealant to the threads of the fill plug. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .
    3. Fig 1: Transfer Case Drain And Fill Plugs

  3. Install the fill plug (1) and tighten to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
  4. Lower the vehicle.
