Installation Procedure

  1. Apply sealant to the threads of the drain plug. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .
    2. Fig 1: Transfer Case Drain And Fill Plugs

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the drain plug (2) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
  3. Fill to the transfer case with fluid. Refer to Transfer Case Fluid Replacement .
  4. Lower the vehicle.
