Oil Delivery Tube and Oil Pump Installation

1	Oil Pump Shaft
2	Oil Pump Assembly Procedure Lubricate the gear set components with transfer case oil before installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers NOTE: The orientation of the gears for assembly. The outer gear is to be installed with the orientation marking facing the oil pump cover.

5	Oil Pump Bolt CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Apply sealant to the threads of the cover bolts. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers Tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)
6	Oil Distribution Tube Fitting Tighten 6 N.m (53 lb in)
7	Oil Distribution Tube Procedure Install new fitting clips. Lube the ends of the tube with transfer case fluid. Center the tube ends into the fitting. Push the tube inward toward the transfer case until the tube is fully seated into the fitting. Push the tube cap to the fitting until seated flat. If the cap is not seated flat against the top of the fitting, the tube in not completely installed. For more information regarding design changes to tube, refer to New Product Information .

9	Strap NOTE: Secure the coil wire harness to the oil pump cover.
