The orientation of the gear and the location of the front output shaft snap ring groove (4) for assembly. The gear is to be installed with the front output shaft snap ring groove (4) groove facing away from the front case half. |

The case halves, idler gear, and idler gear bearings and races are not available as separate service parts. If component replacement is required, the transfer case is to be replaced as an assembly. |
