Circuit/System Verification

NOTE:
This fault will not likely be noticed by the driver.
- Verify the scan tool transfer case 5 V Reference parameter remains between 4.875-5.125 V.
- If NOT 4.875-5.125 V
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If 4.875-5.125 V
- If NOT 4.875-5.125 V
- Verify the scan tool transfer case 5 V Reference Circuit Status parameter displays OK.
- If the transfer case 5 V Reference Circuit Status parameter does NOT display OK
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If the transfer case 5 V Reference Circuit Status parameter does display OK
- If the transfer case 5 V Reference Circuit Status parameter does NOT display OK
- Verify DTC P0641 is only set as a history DTC.
- If the DTC is set as current

- If the DTC is set as history
- If the DTC is set as current
- Verify the integrity of each connector terminal of the K69 Transfer Case Control Module connector and the B109 Transfer Case Fluid Temperature Sensor connector for damage or corrosion. Repair as necessary.
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data. The DTC should not set.
- If the DTC sets

- If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
NOTE:
After inspection, apply Nyogel lubricant 760G to each connector terminal. Ensure each connector and CPA is correctly seated.
